A story about the power of telling stories
A paean to the fragility and imperfection that make us human
Olga and her friends live in the country, in Balicò County, among valleys, woods, hills, pasture land and cultivated fields, where winters are hard, springs rainy and summers torrid.
From the author of Fairy Oak,
a fantastic new world where anything can happen
Olga is a little girl as thin as a leaf, she takes short breaths and her existence, almost always, makes very little sound apart from a slight rustling, like a page of a book ruffled by the breeze, and she has a special gift: she tells incredible stories
A little girl who has discovered how to overcome the fear of the monsters
she puts in her stories, creatures of whom we are all afraid
One day, to console her friend Bruco, who is delicate by nature, Olga decides to tell him the story of the little girl made of paper who leaves her village to go and ask the witch to change her into a normal girl, made of flesh and blood. The journey was long and adventurous and when she finally found the witch, only then did the girl made of paper understand how many things she had managed to do...
The extraordinary journey of a little girl
made of love, friendship, memories and hopes

In 2004 she published the massively popular Fairy Oak books, which won the hearts of millions of young readers everywhere. In recent years Elisabetta has devoted herself to her new novel, Olga di carta.
From the creator of W.I.T.C.H. a dazzling world of fantasy and adventure
A wonderful fairy tale bursting with joy and enchantment
Fairy Oak is a fable about life, but since it also includes mice that foresee the future and talking trees, it wouldn’t be entirely wrong to say that it is also a fable about animals. Hence it’s a fable in the complete sense. One that tells the story of a people made up of Magicals and Nonmagicals, of a wild and lush Valley peopled by extraordinary creatures.
A FABLE ABOUT LIFE
SO CLASSICAL AND TRADITIONAL THAT ADULTS LIKE IT TOO
Fairy Oak is the name of a village that grew up in the shade of a talking oak tree, an imaginary place, lost in the mists of time immemorial, overlooking a stormy sea, next to uplands covered in snow in winter, surrounded by enchanted woods, vast meadows, crystal clear rivers and lakes.
AN IMAGINARY PLACE WHERE TIME AND SPACE ARE EXTENDED
AND NATURE IS AMAZINGLY ALIVE
Within the walls of the old village there lives an equally old community, a mixed bag of funny characters, with the rituals, customs, habits and familiarity of a serene, cheerful, lively people. Some of them are Magicals, or rather, it would be more correct to say that some are Nonmagicals, since the community of Witches and Wizards is older and more numerous than that of the Nonmagicals, even though it isn’t always the most eccentric one.
A PEOPLE OF FAIRIES, WITCHES, WIZARDS AND COMMON PEOPLE
THAT ACCEPTS ITS DIVERSITIES SERENELY
The books chronicle the adventures of the adolescent twins Vanilla and Lavender.
To save their people, menaced by a cruel enemy, they go on a long journey deep into the labyrinths of their powers. Since the girls are very young, at first lots of things go wrong. Some are frightening. In short, it’s not going to be easy at all! But someone and something will help them.
THE EXTRAORDINARY ADVENTURE OF TWO LITTLE GIRLS
WHOSE LOVE IS STRONGER THAN ANY POWER
The plot is light-hearted and pleasing and is interpreted in a lively, modern style.
The morphology of the village, its appearance, the personalities and relationships linking the characters, their life style, rituals and customs seem to engender a feeling of familiarity and affection in readers. And the desire to be a part of the story.
READERS FEEL WELCOME AND HAPPY
IN THE PLACES AND SETTINGS DESCRIBED IN THE BOOKS
Since the release of the first novel on October 30 2005, the books have gained great popularity, critical acclaim and commercial success. As of January 2013, the book series has sold 2.3 million copies, and has been released in 17 countries.
WIDELY PUBLISHED IN EUROPE AND LATIN AMERICA
EACH OF THE SEVEN NOVELS HAS BECOME A BESTSELLER
Elisabetta Gnone was born in Genoa on April 13, 1965.
In 1990, she became a journalist and began to work with Disney,
as collaborator with the weekly comic book “Topolino”.
This was the first step in a career that would associate her name
with the greatest publishing successes of The Walt Disney Company.
By 1998, Elisabetta was the Editor-in-Chief of Disney’s pre-school and girls’ magazines,
and created the series that became a worldwide phenomena “W.I.T.C.H”
which sparked a robust publishing programme that included
comics, magazines, novels DVD’s and a television series
that was translated and distributed into 20 different languages.
Encouraged by such a success Elisabetta set to work once more,
and she spent the past few years
creating and developing the idea of Fairy Oak.
For anyone who’s ever made a wish, believed in a fantasy, or had a dream.
Enter a world where a young boy’s imagination becomes a vivid reality
Ossidea is a metaphor for the journey and adventure, the desire for a different, fantastic world that lives in every young person and that children defend, in their own way, first from adults and then from themselves, trying to put off wading the ford that will take them far from the most genuine and joyouspart of life, forever.
A HOMAGE TO THE DESIRE FOR FREEDOM AND ADVENTURE
THAT LIVES IN CHILDREN EVERYWHERE.
Ossidea is a fantasy whose absolute protagonist is Nature itself. Those who wish to read Ossidea will find in its pages an ecological message, the rediscovery of an intact world, immune to man’s destructive ambition.
A MARVELLOUS AND FABULOUS HYMN TO NATURE
A FANTASTIC JOURNEY THROUGH AN UNKNOWN WORLD
In the course of his adventures, the protagonist encounters some very different characters, but his curiosity drives him on. David’s capacity to overcome the barriers of diversity, to learn new languages and forge friendships with creatures so different from him, conveys a positive message and teaches young people that diversity is, first of all, an opportunity.
A COMPLEX WEB OF WORLDS,
CREATURES AND IMAGINARY LANGUAGES
The project began in 2008. The author's idea is to reconcile the child's original passion for nature with the rigour of the scientist; his fantastic worlds emerge from the pages as vivid and real. Thus was born the Land of Arcon, the realm of elves and giants, of the gurblù and the kahuri, an imaginary place, but basically one not too different from the preindustrial world.
A UNIVERSE WITH A WEALTH OF MAGIC AND ADVENTURE
MIRACULOUSLY SUSPENDED BETWEEN FANTASY AND REALITY
Tim Bruno is a European writer born in 1966.

where he took a degree in Biology. After university,

In parallel with his scientific activities, Tim Bruno
cultivated an enthusiasm for writing and fantastic literature.
AN EXTRAORDINARY PASSION
FOR ANIMALS AND NATURE
